In this fast-paced presentation, David A. Fruchtman (chair of State and Local (Subnational) Taxation at Rimon P.C.) analyzes the most important developments in multistate and local tax legislation, case law and administrative pronouncements nationwide. Topics covered will be determined based upon current developments. Prior presentations have addressed tax presence, federal legislation, state legislation, click-through nexus, retroactive taxation, whistleblower lawsuits, class action lawsuits, income tax apportionment, corporate income tax refund cases, sales taxes on services, taxation of digital goods, responsible party liability, unclaimed property, and the endless battles over online travel companies. Presented four times annually.

Attendees will be informed of significant developments in state and local tax legislation, policy and case law, with emphasis on developments occurring since September 1, 2015.

David A. Fruchtman chairs Rimon's State and Local (Subnational) Taxation practice.

Mr. Fruchtman's clients include market-leading heavy equipment manufacturers, marketing companies, travel lodging providers and vehicle rental companies, as well as mid-sized retailers and financial services companies. His clients are listed on the NYSE, on NASDAQ and are privately held.

Mr. Fruchtman has assisted clients on issues in all 50 states, on matters involving income taxes, franchise taxes, sales and use taxes, real property transfer taxes and a variety of other state and local taxes. His practice is equally divided between tax planning and tax controversy work.
